fail of the day

Yesterday (Friday) evening we went to Borders to pick up a book I had placed on hold. I asked the guy at the register if I could use a coupon that was in my email and he enthusiastically replied "Of course! Just read me the code." I read him the code, it doesn't work. He asks to see it so I hand him my phone so he can see the email himself. He looks at it and replies "that's a Barnes & Noble coupon". FAIL.

I was so embarrassed. Luckily the guy was awesome and said he had a coupon code he could apply to my order anyways, and not to worry because that happens way more often then I would think. My face still turned bright red.
